Floraland Amusement Park
Opened in 2005, Floraland is amusement park is located in nearby Wenjiang, about an hour's bus ride from Chengdu.
This child-size fantasy world offers fun rides as well as fascinating magic shows and parades. Each zone at Floraland Amusement Park is dedicated to showcasing different countries such as China, Japan, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, and Italy.
This unique family-base theme park also offers luxury accommodation decorated in traditional Chinese-style within its property. It is best to avoid the crowds and long lines during the weekends and public holidays.
This is one of the most enjoyable ways to spend an evening with a group of friends. Karaoke (often known as KTV in mainland China and Taiwan) is very popular with locals. The karaoke scene and atmosphere here is different from its Western counterpart as most of them offer small to medium-sized private rooms for a group of three to ten people, each room for rent by hour. Karaoke or KTV is sometimes available within shopping malls, some hotels, and restaurants. Songs come in many languages, including English.
Wandering Around Tianfu Square
Tianfu Square represents the heart of the city. Prominent on one side of the square is an enormous statue of Mao Zedong. The square is a very popular meeting point for locals. Underneath this greater square is an open market selling domestic products like clothes, household goods, and some electronic items at reasonable prices.
Tianfu Square is surrounded by several department stores where you can find imported and brand name products and well-known fast food restaurants and coffee shops.
