Grand Hyatt Shanghai has been the preferred venue for many international meetings, conferences and incentives. Since its opening in 1999, the 555-room Grand Hyatt has hosted many premiere events in its two ballrooms.

Two marvelous ballrooms, and Jin Mao Concert Hall and 11 technologically advanced and highly adaptable multifunctional rooms, of varying capacities and styles, are the core of the hotel’s meeting facilities. Our function rooms can be configured to match the requirements of any event you propose.

Particularly impressive are the 920 sq. m. Grand Ballroom and the 665 sq. m. Crystal Ballroom. Whether you are seeking a sizeable or an intimate venue, all facilities bear testament to the attention to detail that has become our hallmark.

Our commitment to service excellence continues with a team of Convention Services Executives who will work with the event organizers to ensure the event’s success. The Convention Services Executive is the organizer’s main hotel liaison, organizing aspects of the program such as check-in, check-out, transportation and banquet arrangements. Furthermore, a "Meeting Butler" is attached to every function held in the hotel to attend to any request immediately.

Jin Mao Concert Hall

The 390-seat Jin Mao Concert Hall is ideal for award ceremonies, performances, lectures, presentations and press conferences, and is equipped with top level audio/visual facilities. This is the only such facility in a hotel in Shanghai and has an appropriately elegant foyer and VIP lounge. Translation facilities are also available, with soundproof booths for translators and simultaneous broadcast capacity for two languages.

Our showpiece is a cathedral of wood and bronze, with details reflecting the geometric designs of Shanghai’s Art Deco heritage, making it the ideal setting for the grandest of metropolitan events. The Grand Ballroom is over 920 sq. m. which caters to a capacity of 1200 people.

Our second large ballroom with 665 sq. m. for 800 seating capacity. Dramatic chandeliers help create an atmosphere of grandeur, making this an ideal venue for special celebrations.

Drawing Rooms
Drawing Rooms

Our two Drawing Rooms offer distinct event environments. Drawing Room I is located in the style of a Gentleman’s Club and is recommended for cocktail parties, aperitifs or after dinner cigars. Drawing room II, with its lively street level views, is recommended for lunches and dinner parties.


Equipped with a 12 seat conference table and top level audio/visual facilities. The Boardroom is the ideal venue for smaller group meetings.


The 53rd floor Polaris is a private “room with a view”, which offers telephone and video conferencing capabilities and a stately 20 seat table wired with computer data ports and microphones. The views astound both during daytime meetings and nighttime private dinning. Coffee breaks are held next door at the stylish Piano Bar.
